A few nicks around the corner of the shelf boards upon opening but nothing terrible. Super easy to assemble, did in less than 30 mins. Lamp shade is a bit fragile, basically a paperlike material with a glossy inside. It folds open and has metal notches that attach to a square metal bar - felt like I was going to rip through the shade when doing this. I changed my review of 3 to 4 stars once I found it it has 3 different light settings! The bulb light changes upon each pull. Very cool to play with when the daylight changes throughout the day!. It would be the best choice for you to decorate the bedroom and living room by putting our modern standing lamp with 4 shelves and drawer, also you could use the column lamp as a replacement for a bedside table lamp, cause this lamp even with shelves for storage. The tall lamp has 2 charging ports (5V/2A, 1USB, and 1Type-C) in addition to these, there is a drawer for storing small things. This is the perfect combination of the bedside table, table lamp, and power strip.
