I had no idea how much I needed this lamp until I got it. It has a foot switch so you can turn it on and off without having to deal with 3 individual switches on each individual lamp. Having the lamps so close together creates a nice, bright light and the shades soften the light so it is not too bright. It only took about 8-10 minutes to put the whole thing together. I don’t even think I looked at the directions. The base is heavy enough to support the 3 lights without turning over easily.
