The washer generally rests on the top of a metal harp (not included) above the light bulb and is held in place by a screw-on finial. The outside of the lampshade has a fabric covering. The trim is the same colour as the cover.

I was trying to match an old shade. The colors on the website were not accurate. I first ordered “cream” but returned it and ordered “burlap”.
