bought this second fan for our guest bedroom- installation was challenging as there was no text with only pictorial steps, but any homeowner with moderate skills can accomplish it in under 2 hours(as long as existing wires are done a certified electrician- ours were under a ceiling cover already for a light fixture etc)- but we do love and enjoy the fan/light combo and modern look! would recommend to a friend!!. Good durable fan overall. The fan only works with the remote, not the wall control. My previous fan had two hot wires. One for the fan and one for the light which you could control separately on the wall. I purchased this fan as it said it was remote and wall control. You can control the light from the wall but not the fan. So that was a disappointment. The blades are a beautiful wood and light. It’s quiet but not as quiet as my old fan and gets louder as you increase the speed. Not loud enough where you’d be annoyed but it’s not whisper quiet either.
