More than just illumination, this coastal-style Gene chandelier provides an artful focal point for your ensemble. With hundreds of hand-cut Gene seashells tied to a frame, this lamp works as much in a modern home as it does in a traditional one. The six 60-watt bulbs provide ample light for your space while making the shells glow at the same time. This shell light fixture is the perfect size to make a statement above your dining table or kitchen island.
I love this light! A designer suggested this fixture, and originally I thought it might be too glam for our space. When she said it was not sparkly, it’s actually made of shells, I worried it might seem like we were taking the coastal concept too literally. But capiz shells are delicate, and light passing through them gives an inviting glow. The strands move in the breeze, so the fixture sometimes sort of acts like a wind chime, which I really like! If your space is really windy though, this might not be a good choice since the shells might bash around too much. The photos I’ve uploaded make the light seem quite white, but it’s definitely a warmer light than my photos suggest.. Karen. Sunshine Coast, BC. Sun Jan 19 2025
