The file cabinet was poorly packaged and arrived damaged. I settled for a 40% discount on price. I then realized that it did not fit my legal or letter sized files and was NOT adjustable. The file rods are screwed in place. In order to adjust them, you have to completely remove the drawer faces to relocate the screws. It is a pretty piece of furniture, but completely USELESS without dismantling and reassembling the drawers! Not what I expected from an expensive, "fully assembled" piece of furniture!

The color shows a honey shade but what we got matches the chestnut description much darker than shown. To me, the smell of the piece is like a brand new pair of leather shoes if you put your nose right in the shoe box, it is house filling. To my wife the smell is intolerable, we hope it will calm down after a while. It arrived in perfect shape and is a delight to the eyes. It has a counter weight built right in to help prevent tip over. The file hanger rails are easy to adjust on ours, with no tools needed just lift and slide push back down. No need to remove drawer face on ours.
