The American Country Vintage Armoire works very well for our guest bedroom. It’s a bit flimsy, but we are bolting it to the wall which (instead of using the anti-tipping straps) which will strengthen it nicely. The doors line up well; we added a mirror to the inside doors for our guests. The hardware package had everything we needed for assembly; each in its own bag-no missing/left over parts! I really appreciated the round stickers in the same print as the cabinet to hide the screw holes. The drawers aren’t very deep/long but I’m using it for linen storage and the occasional house guests so that’s not problematic for us. Four stars due to the cabinet looking a little like a yellow pine color rather than the light brownish I expected. This is one amazing piece of furniture! It is sturdy and durable and looks beautiful in my bedroom. Note that if you are looking at the pictures, the right side is only one set of 4 shelves and middle one is adjustable but the mirror in the door makes it look like there is a double set of shelves which is not the case. this came in a shipment of 2 boxes and the instructions were perfect and so easy to follow. This is a really lovely piece. I put it together with the help of a friend for some of the early assembly. We made only a couple of missteps that required disassembly and reassembly! Did it in a couple phases so I’m not sure about total time. Ultimately I was able to finish it solo, without too much trouble getting it upright (and I’m only 5’4” without much gym time under my belt in recent memory). One thing to note I thought the mirror might be optional, but it arrives pre-attached to the front panel. Although I was hoping I could leave it off, it is nice for a quit fit check before I head out the door. Oh, and another reviewer mentioned this too but full size hangers barely fit. I ended up tucking in the sleeve of each coat that I hang up so they’re a little more compact, and the bulk of the coat doesn’t try as hard to push the doors open from the inside. I bought two of these because for some reason our new home didn't come with either no closet or too small closet and no Linen closets. One put together, took my husband almost a day to complete so the second one hopefully will go faster. It fits perfect in our primary. doing the purpose I bought it for! Have been looking for a solution for more hanging room in my very small bedroom. I purchased 2 of these wardrobes to flank my full-size bed that sits sideways under a window. The house is very old where they used to have very small closets. I was looking for a "built-in" look and these were the perfect size! I am putting them together by myself (directions say it needs 2 people) but I was able to assemble the 1st one no problem. The wardrobe is very sturdy when assembled. I have the first one all put together and need to put the drawers and doors on the second one. I am very happy with the color! I may replace the gold knobs if I find some more whimsical ones, but this will help eliminate the 2 portable clothes racks that have graced my bedroom since I bought this old house! Overall, quality is very nice, sturdy and solid - looks really sharp! Large and lots of room. There is an issue with the "design" of the Roller Glides on the Drawer though as the screw the goes into the final rail for each of the 3 (far left side) all catch and rub really bad. Had someone with years of building these for retail etc and they were even frustrated. We ended up finding a screw we bought that had a smaller and thinner head and it "mostly" solved the issue.. The American Country Vintage Armoire works very well for our guest bedroom. It’s a bit flimsy, but we are bolting it to the wall which (instead of using the anti-tipping straps) which will strengthen it nicely. The doors line up well; we added a mirror to the inside doors for our guests. The hardware package had everything we needed for assembly; each in its own bag-no missing/left over parts! I really appreciated the round stickers in the same print as the cabinet to hide the screw holes. The drawers aren’t very deep/long but I’m using it for linen storage and the occasional house guests so that’s not problematic for us. Four stars due to the cabinet looking a little like a yellow pine color rather than the light brownish I expected. Rated it four out of five stars based on the color-it’s more of a yellowish pine color than the light brown I thought it would be but it’s not a deal breaker.. Goldie Mom. CA. Sun Sep 27 2026
