Advaning 7.9'' D Polycarbonate Cover Retractable Door / Window Awning

My damaged awning needed to be replaced and I wanted to replace it with something more modernistic. After an exhaustive search, I chose this Advaning polycarbonate clear-top awning for many reasons: 1) I liked that it can hold up to 550-lbs of snow, since we get a lot of snow here. 2) The clear top is awesome because when the floodlight is on at night, I can clearly see the lock to unlock my door (versus my old awning that had a solid top, thus blocking all the light) 3) The aesthetics is amazing - looks 1,000 times better than my old one (see picture of old and new awning side-by-side below), 4) The curved lip at the end is super handy because it forces rain to either side. My old awning went straight down, meaning I had to walk through a waterfall every time it rained. 5) decorative lag bolt covers were included to give it that finishing touch. I'm super happy with this awning!

Excellent purchase. Very easy to install - I am no “handyman” but was able to put it in place with little trouble in less than an hour. Very solid product and looks good above the door.

Nice touch contemporary look against my old cedar shake vinyl . However this awning alone will not hold on its own so we had to remove the newer siding to expose it and reinforce. my husband had to double reinforce the area(double layer of 2 by 8 in between the studs )so the provided wooden lag screws will have enough support . Beautiful look
