I ordered the cottage style but receive the standard style shutters. They were not what I wanted but I had to use them because I had ordered them for a project that had to be completed.

Very cheap plastic and flimsy. Probably okay inside but certainly not outside for long. The "paintable" is NOT Primed. It is flame treated to accept paint, but the paint flakes really easily unless you actually prime it. The thickness in the description seems wrong. They are 1" about thick. The slat thickness is 0.25" ish. Slats do not move. The side panels are completely hollow and U-shaped, so the bolts that are supplied to mount them can crack them easily. I made a piece of backing wood to support them better. So: if for interior decor, these would be fine. For external use, I suggest a hard pass. You'll be disappointed. It is worth paying 3x the price and getting something durable. Better yet, think about aluminum.
