I bought these because we just had a fence installed and because we have a sloping yard with various ups and downs, there are spots where the fence isn't as close to the ground as I wanted. Since we have had problems with skunks and raccoons (pre-fence), I wanted to keep them out. This was just the perfect solution! These are extremely solid barrier fences that you can hammer into the ground to close those unwanted spaces. Even if I can't the barrier too far into the ground (we have clay and rocks galore here in Virginia), I know that nothing bigger than a chipmunk will be fitting through those slots and into the yard. This only worked because the vertical fencing is very close together. And I don't expect these things to be dislodged by anything!! I have also used these at the entrance of our concrete basement stairs where all manner of critter digs out the dirt to make a home. I no longer want to be dealing with large mammals in the yard, and these are the perfect solution. Oh, and they keep my dogs safely in the yard too! Highly recommend this product.

The metal animal barrier is definitely strong. Every single one is pristinely wrapped, which provides care and protection. However, to actually get to go in the ground has been quite a challenge including using the mallet provided (which was helpful, but I can’t actually get them in the ground without having to lean them against something or they fall forward or backward. I tried both with the tie on and off. I’ll keep trying, but very difficult for LTS.

The fencing came on time and securely packed which is good since it’s heavy attesting to the quality of the metal. It comes with a mallet which was a nice surprise. And there are a lot of black thin zip ties so that you can use them or not. Very easy to hammer into the ground and you can make the height less by hammering it further into the ground. Very pleased with the ease of putting it up and the look of the fence. Can not wait to decide the configuration of the fence and get it done!

These pieces were very firm and made out of heavy metal. Included were a mallet and zip ties. The zip ties may break easily but were handy for me since i did not insert the fence pieces in the ground. Instead, i attached them to an already installed baby gate to keep animals like baby possums from squeezing through the gate. I had to install the fence pieces vertically so that they would fit the entire baby gate and make small squares to deter the animals. I have a small dog and possums are dangerous to him. Having this gate has helped immensely. The mallet was a good addition and is sturdy.

Fifteen sections came in the package, and they are surprisingly heavy. When I first opened the box, I thought, Im going to need to get a mallet to put these in the ground. And then I realized they came with one! Thats a nice bonus. I think these will do a good job of deterring my dogs from escaping.
