The bench is well built and not overly difficult to assemble even by one person. My issue is with the finish. The picture shows a mostly uniform-colored cedar bench. The actual bench features a semi-transparent cedar stain over pine with all the grain patterns, knots, and occasional slightly warped and/or splintered parts. Adding insult to injury, two days after the bench arrived, I saw it on sale on Wayfair for $75.00 less.

Love the bench but PLEASE read the other reviews for install help. The arms are super challenging but, thanks to reviewers tips, I did it!

I love the looks of the bench and it’s really what I was looking for, but the quality of the wood is inferior, it’s not hard wood. In a few days after installation it has already chipped in several places! And that is with only me sitting on it. It also creaks when only one person sits on it. Because of that I would not recommend it.
