We've had to adjust this higher on the 91" shepherds hook, and one determined squirrel will still climb then hop over it to the feeder. But it has deterred about 90 - 95% of them and my birdseed is going a lot further now, so I'll still consider this a good investment, though the cost did make me wait a while before ordering

Racoons and Squirrels were ruining our birdfeeders so we tried a circular baffle but it didn't work they chewed thru it. THIS DELUXE STOPPER HAS NOT HAD EITHER SQUIRREL OR RACOON GET UP IT AND FEEDERS ARE SAFE. I AM GOING TO ADD A THIRD ONE AS WE HAVE SO MANY BIRDS TO FEED AND FINALLY WE FOUND SOMETHING THAT STOPS THE PESKY ANIMALS FROM TEARING DOWN AND WASTING FOOD FROM FEEDERS. LOVE THIS ITEM AND SO EASY TO INSTALL ON POST. Note: I just added a photo to show the two squirrel Stoppers we bought and there are 3 of them but I could only get 2 of them in the picture. The have been up for quite some time and have NEVER had anything get up the poles anymore.

The squirrels can no longer access the birdfeeder but the birds are put off with the baffle. The cardinals are able to reach the birdfeeder because they are smaller than the bluejays.

So far has kept the squirrels out of the feeder

This is our second one that I just purchased to go with our second new bird feeder. We've had one on another feeder pole and it really works!

I’ve tried everything! The raccoons had it figured out in minutes for all the other devices I tried. I even had to resort to bringing in the feeders at night so they wouldn’t get pillaged. I installed the raccoon/squirrel guard as instructed and they can’t figure this one out. My birdfeeders are finally safe.

Its best selling point is the ease of installation and the fact that you don’t have to slide it down a pole. I bought this baffle specifically for this reason, as it was going around poles that held nesting boxes I didn’t want to disturb. I paired my stoppers with wrap-around metal baffles (as seen in the pic) to try and deter raccoons from getting in my nesting boxes. I’m hoping this combination will work. That being said, if you’re going to use this with bird feeders, I would be cautious. It is made of plastic, and while it does have a metal “chew-proof” ring on the underside, I question its longevity against rodent teeth. If you need a baffle that is easy to install and can snap on around the pole…this is great. HOWEVER, if you’re intending to use it with a feeder (or bird house), I would either pair it with something else (as a second line of defense) or get a different metal torpedo-style baffle.
