Works excellent! Built it with a solar pump kit (SKU: W120104564 sold by Wayfair) and fountain runs 24/7 and only turns off when water gets low and the pump safety valve turns it off so it doesn’t burn out the motor. When screwing the fountain pieces together let the pieces find their groove on the threads so the fountain stays level and is not lopsided once all together. If converting to solar you will need to pop out the rubber gasket that is in the middle of the bottom tier of the fountain. Split the rubber gasket at the seam and remove the electrical cord for the included pump and replace it with the cord for the solar pump. Use GE 100% Silicone sealant to fill any gaps/ spaces in the center of rubber gasket/ plug, reseal the seam with silicone and spread silicone around the outer edge of the plug/ gasket and put it back in the base, let set for 24 hours before adding water. My fountain was easily assembled however the problem I discovered was that in order to use the light, I needed two outlets and I already was using one for my patio lights. Ive been looking for a water fountain for quite some time. I wanted something that would provide conversation privacy from my neighbors, drown out some freeway noise, yet still sound tranquil. What I love about this fountain is the shape, size and overall modern style. Its a heavy solid piece, and it sounds wonderful with just the perfect amount of water flow. Wayfair Delivery was quick and amazing, and my contractor put it together in less than a hour. Everything is built-in, so once you get it centered and level, you just add water and plug it in. Simple, easy concept design! Its more textured than I expected, and unfortunately there are minor nicks all around the exterior and along the rim. Because I ordered the black color, its probably more noticeable. Just something to note if ordering in black. Overall, Im so happy with my new water fountain!! Its adding so much to my peace!!. We adore this fountain. It came very well packaged and was in perfect condition when it arrived. We have it near a busy sidewalk and our bird feeders. We intentionally ordered a fountain that was low enough for dogs to be able to drink from it as well as our feathered friends. The birds adore it, and it has definitely increased the amount of birds we receive at the feeders. We hired a professional electrician to install it, and he said it was simple to do. We top it off every 5-6 days. I would say that the only negative is that the filter needs to be cleaned out more than we expected, about every 3-4 weeks to keep it operating at its best, but that is very quick and easy to do..
