This set is absolutely beautiful. It is a great addition to my Farmhouse style home. I did sand the wood lightly and adding on the a coat of UV protection stain to it. Just to be on the safe side. I washed some of the cushion covers in the washing machine but found that it wears offs the protective coating.I bought some spray to help that. I will not put in the washing again.. Joanne.
