It definitely took patience to assemble. The instructions are very small illustrations and difficult to interpret. You really need to follow the suggestion to not tighten the screwsbolts during assembly. You need the unit to be flexible in order to get everything to fit - tighten after everything is in place. My only issue was that both pistons were frozen and unusable. I put together a temporary fix until I could arrange for replacements. Cushions are thin, but not uncomfortable. All in all, I like the patio couch. The cushions could use more Velcro between them so they will better resist shifting. Had the pistons functioned properly I would have rated this couch a five star. At the time of review, Ive had this sofa for about four years now. It has held up incredibly well, and Im so pleased with it! Ive made sure to put the cushions away in the wintertime, but otherwise, its been out the whole time in all different kinds of weather.
