The chairs were well packed. They have that retro 50's 60's authenic look of the patio furniture my aunt had on her porch when I was growing up. I made the purchase out notaligic feelings for that set and they don't disappoint. They were a bit tricky to put together. My husband gave some input to the review on that and some pictures to show you what he's talking about. After he figured that out, the second one went together quickly. Assemble as per instructions except do not connect one of the front seat bolt. Lay chair on side on a firm surface with unconnected bolt . Press down on the chair to force the chair frame on the unconnected bolt. When frame work is through the bolt, put washer and bolt and start. Tighten all up and it goes together well.. Jenny H. SC.
