I bought this stand for a new 40-gallon tank that I am setting up. This aquarium stand was shipped and delivered on time with no damage. Assembling it was a bit of a challenge because the top was slightly bowed. It took a rubber mallet and 200lbs of weight to get it lined up so I could screw it down. The openings in the back panel aren't really useful for my purposes. The designers only considered tanks with hang off back (HOB) filters. If you are using a canister filter that resides in the cabinet below the tank, you will either have to leave the back panel off or get creative with a saw. I got creative with a saw and cut a hole in the back big enough to easily accommodate the filter's output/return hoses and provide easy access for maintenance. This stand seems sturdy enough to support the 450lb+ weight of a filled 40-gal tank. It's not what I'd call high quality or high-end decorator, but so far it suits my tastes just fine.

This fish stand is absolutely great! It’s exactly as advertised and very sturdy. Assembly was very easy and the instructions are clear. If you take the items out of the box top to bottom and set aside like that they will be in the perfect order for you to assemble. Took about an hour to put together with 2 people. The area underneath is perfect for a dog bed also which is an added bonus in our house full of pets. The only thing I would change is the cord to plug it in is a little short for where I wanted to place it. All and all a great stand that looks nice too!
