This dog bed is large with a good weight to it. I bought this for my 10 year old dog for his comfort. He circles and scratches a bit with his front paws to get comfortable. The top layer of material is coming off! I've not have this happen with his past beds. He goes to groomers to keep his nails short too. This would be a nice bed if it wasn't for the top cover. So disappointed.

Got the small version for my arthritic 20 yr old cat and it's perfect. No lumps and bumps to get in her way, just a nice flat surface with good support so she's not flopping around all over the place like with other beds I've tried. Good quality.
