I have a 2 yr old mastiff/boxer mix Maddie who is 100 lbs and a 2 yr old boxer/rott mix Lilly who is 65 lbs. I am lucky in that both dogs go to work with me daily. I went from a Regal to a Grand Cherokee. I worried them jumping up an down would eventually cause leg problems. And it was hard for Maddie to get in without my help. I looked at the ramps first and noticed they just lay on top of bumpers etc. I knew if my dogs stepped to either edge it could flip the ramp. If the ramp flexed so it couldn't flip then it would get steeper half way up. I've had the Twistep for a couple of weeks now , both dogs use it without any problems. Our family business is 4x4 parts & accessories for over 30 yrs now, so I'm familiar with what's available as well as the quality. In fact we are a distributor of a company that makes a brand of ramps. This is a good quality, solid mounting product at a some what high price. But it's one of a kind product at this point..

I order the Twistep for my golden retriever, Jamie. I went from a two door to a SUV for her. I didn't want her to jump up or down as I am concerned about her hips. At first, I went to Lexus to see what I needed to do. They told me I would have to replace the bumper with one that has a hitch (parts $520, installation $450). I thought that was insane. I spoke with my salesman and he told me to go to Uhaul. $233.75 parts and installation. I love it. Jamie loves it and now likes to go out with me. I felt so bad watching her getting in and out.

10 years ago this was a wonderful product but the design has changed and now I would not recommend it to my friends. The old model could turn into 3 different settings and you pushed down on the lever to turn the Step now you have to pull up and it sticks and is a real battle. PLEASE bring the old design back..it was awesome.
