The way it was packaged is if someone else had sent it back. it was in a box labeled dog pads, and it was thrown in there. The cord was just thrown in there wasn’t tied up like you would normally see with a new one., but it worked and my dog loved it, and after showing him a couple of times he was able to do it by himself. Upon receipt of this item, I was disappointed, thee was no box, packaging or instructions.it just arrived in a clear ziploc in a mail bag…no paper with details of ANY KIND. The setup of it was quite confusing because it’s described as “retractable” ….however, that is NOT what it is…it is EXTENDABLE. I was intending to return it but I think I will keep it ..I won’t use it for daily walks as I intended…due to inability to retract..but am thinking I will use it occasionally (at fairs or when carrying things, need to be hands from while I have the boys (my two dogs with me)…I gave it four stars due to its convenience during occasional use and it’s sturdy construction..
