Read some of the comments about the base being unstable. I mitigated this by applying some duct tape to help keep the pieces together (they are already held together as they are not completely cut in half -- the duct tape just helps secure it). No complaints thus far! It's a great height for my cat -- they can stretch out fully and reach the top. They don't hang out on the top though. A bit small for a grown cat.

Groucho loves his tall scratcher and if sun is shining hell lay on its base. A younger cat used to sit up on top but hes gained way too much weight for that now.

The quality of the scratcher was good, but it took about a month to get my cat to use it. It is very thin sisal.

Great for my two cats. Holding up well to my Maine Coons.
