The woodwork is pretty but this cat shelf has numerous issues. The biggest problem is the lack of instructions. From the pictures, I thought any window with a solid frame would work. But I could not get the shelf attached no matter what I tried. Trying to tighten the sides so that the shelf would stay in place, the bracket on one side broke. The two screws popped out! This was after my husband had to help me attach these brackets with an electric drill because I could not get the screws into the wood with the Allen wrench. After massive frustration, I looked for help and found similar shelves listed in Wayfair. One of them listed specific measurements for the window sill and the window track. If the measurements do not match, the shelf will not work. I think this shelf needs thorough directions for assembly and exact measurements for what windows will work. On the plus side, the separate faux sherpa cat bed is nice and one of my cats has been sleeping on it on the floor.

My cat seems to be enjoying this cat window seat. It was a nice bonus that it also came with the bed that lays on top which will be easy to clean when it’s needed. It’s a good size to put in the window of my home office.
