The door opening mechanism is a little weird compared to other ones I'm used to but I like that it automatically closes if I don't open it past 90 degrees. My one complaint is I wish the little cat door could either be removed or secured in an open position - I leave it open so that my dog can't get through but the cats have access to where their food and litter are, but with the cat door always open it just kind of swings freely around when I open and close the big door. I installed this across my front porch. I have a Shih Tzu who thinks that when the front door is open it means she can run down the street and visit the neighbors.
