Our Eclectus parrot likes the space: even the bump out for the Victorian flourish top. He quickly explored the inside and outside of the cage, treats and water from the new bowls and perch, and enjoyed sittling like a king on the perch stretched in the Victorian top opening. The color is a dark gray. The front door lock could be sturdier. We like accessing the bowls as they swing from the inside to the outside of the cage. My bird loves this tall cage fir hes swing and high areas. I like it because its light and i can hold it and walk through doors and set in shower stall for easy clean up. This is perfect for the Senegal, Sunfire maybe Quakers but if you have an animal thats prone to bitting and bending bars or trying to get out this may not be the cage for you. The metal is easily bendable however my parrot uses it like a safe place, shelter and hes outside of it just as much as hes inside of it. Nice sturdy heavy cage just as discribed but not exactly what I expected. It is pretty but the bars are thicker than our previous cage so it's harder to see the birds. It only has 1 actual access opening so not convient to move things around in the cage. Other 3 openings are for changing food & water out. This is very common for many cages but my birds are not tamed and I do not have a bird room. I love how convenient it is to clean the cage with the pull out grid and the metal tray. Much better than grid inside cage and staticy plastic tray. The cons are some parts are slightly off and the bottom catcher comes apart. Overall it’s a decent cage. It’s attractive, and I believe my Senegal Parrot (Zazoo) will enjoy it. We are moving to a new house in a different city and hour away. I currently have a high end powder coat cage that has much thicker bars and overall heavier construction. Zazoo turns 25 this year, and we wanted a more affordable cage incase he is near the end of his lifespan. We hope he’ll like his new home. The cage was well-packed and the only damage was to one of the sliding pans. It was dented and chipped, but I’m not concerned. I purchased this as a travel cage for my Yellow Nape Amazon. I took a chance on the size since I couldn't find any reviews mentioning a larger parrot. The instructions just show a photo of the pieces and how they go together. It wasn't too difficult but needed to be tightened up at the joins. Anyone having a parrot knows how quickly they can learn to open the doors and food spaces. This cage has "pins" holding in the food dishes. Word to the wise, remember to purchase locks to secure the doors! For the price, this is a well constructed cage designed more for conures, cockateils and parakeets. It will for work for my Yellow Nape but only for travel. The only negative I can think of is the wooden dowel perches are not long enough and can easily fall off.
