The deluxe fort is a great complex for 1-3 cats. Your cat can enter by the ramp and through the escape hatch or by the top hammock and down; anyway, your cat using the complex will be thought-provoking and stimulating! The included sisal pole gives your cat a friendly outlet for climbing and scratching. Wall-mounted cat furniture can help resolve behavioural and territorial issues in homes with multiple cats by giving them vertical space. Our latest furniture collection has been meticulously engineered to be stronger and more versatile than ever! Instead of using pine for our wooden components, we now use bamboo. Bamboo is a highly sustainable material that is stronger than pine and allows for a sleek, modern design. Another improvement to the design includes a third mounting point that has been added to our Mounting Planks. Using an additional screw provides extra support and holds the furniture rock solid against the wall. Even the most playful kitties can feel safe and secure using our Condos! All of our furniture is cat tested and approved. The Deluxe Cat Fort is designed to mount along 3 studs, spaced 16-Inches on-centre.
Overall I love this cat condo! It did however come with a broken piece, but my husband managed to superglue the wood and it holds for now. Initially, we couldn't find the studs in the wall and made the mistake of installing it into the drywall with anchors - VERY BAD IDEA! because our cats (we have 2) love it so much, the shelves came flying off in a week.
So we had to manually find the studs and reinstall it the proper way. Now it's sturdy and secure!
Since we installed it twice, I can say that this is super easy to put together, especially if you do it the right way the first time. No-nonsense, self-explanatory. Instructions are just pictures, but very easy to follow. Honestly, it took us no more than an hour to install into the studs. Make sure to sketch out the wall first with an erasable marker/pen/chalk, marking the "line" where the stud is vertically. You will need to screw into three studs 16" apart to secure your shelves(usually standard in most buildings). Once you've sketched out where the studs are, everything else is a breeze. I've attached photos with a sketch, hope you'll find it useful.. Mila. Forest Hills, NY. Thu Sep 03 2020
