I love this towel rack! I don't like towel bars that hang on the wall so this is just perfect. Since it is black, it goes with the décor of both my old house and the one we are in now. To make it simple on how I use it, let me explain it this way. I use it to hold my towels and clothes when I take a shower or bath. I put the folded towel and clothing on top of the rack, take my bath or shower, take my towel which is right on top. I then dry off, get dressed and hang my towel on it (which is now empty since I took my clothes off to get dressed) and I let my towel dry overnight. In the morning the towel is dry and ready for hamper. (I do not throw wet towels in the hamper to mold or smell.) This way the towel stand is empty and looks nice all day long no matter who uses the bathroom plus is ready for the following night's shower/bath. Now that I said all that and you have the idea on how I use it, it gets a tad bit complicated since I am not the only one using it but I have my towel on half of it (I have to fold it to do this) leaving the other half for him to put his dry clothes and towel on (or vise verse) and the last one who took the shower will then place the towels on the bars properly (unfold the previous one and put it across the stand) as well as their own for drying overnight. The stand is lightweight so easy to move which is important because the first photo is the house I use to live in and the second photo is where I live now (the garden tub photo). What you don't see is behind where I was standing to take the photo is a doorway in another small room where the toilet is on one side and the shower stall is on the other. So when I take a shower (which I do way more often then soaking in the garden tub) I move the stand into the doorway of the shower room so when I get out of the shower I can reach over to grab my towel and get dressed while still standing on the mat. So more times than not, I am now moving the rack whereas in the other house it always sat under the window since it was a normal tub and the tub had the shower in it. But, even with all the use over the years I never had it fall over because I put a towel or two on it. In fact, I had as many as 4 towels drying on it at a time and had no problems with it. I don't see any rust on it and it is still tight and stable despite me now moving it almost nightly.
