This rug is a unique piece of world art that will enhance your living space. The Gabbeh designs originate in the Shiraz province of Iran, done by the Gabbeh villagers. This particular rug was created in the Varanasi region of India, in the Bhadohi village, where weavers re-create the original Gabbeh design. The authentic and primitive look and design of the rugs are what makes them desirable. The rugs are made of 100% wool pile, and cotton foundation, as well as all natural and vegetable dyes. The pile height is 0.25 inches. The knot count per square inch is 200. This rug is hand-loomed, which is different than the hand-knotting method because the weavers are using special tools to create their designs and weave the rugs. Colours include blue and ivory.
