The rug I received was DEFECTIVE. The outside border on one side was badly and unevenly cut off. I'm surprised it was sent out as a first quality rug; it was not. I would never have bought it had I seen it in person. It made a pretty nice rug look cheap and of poor quality. The rug pattern in the rug is not woven into the rug. It is PRINTED ON THE TOP and doesn't go all the way to the base of the pile. So, at the edge of the rug near the binding, there is a line of bright white below where the printed pattern ended. The color isn't red, it's rosy pink. And the whole rug is much paler, more pastel than the picture. Better photos are certainly needed. The pattern of the rug is beautiful and it is very soft, but given the poor craftsmanship, I would expect the rug to be priced at half of what it is (even without the wonky border). This is NOT a $969 rug. Thankfully, Christopher at Customer Service was helpful and I received a discount on the price instead of having to package up and return an 8 x 10 rug.
