I am very happy with this rug pad. It's as described. I ordered it to fit the size of my rug - so I didn't have to personally cut it, but you could if needed. It ads just enough cushion to my rug and absolutely provides enough grip so the rug doesn't slip on my hard surface floors.

I dont know, as I returned it without opening. I ordered the wrong thing.

I loved my new runner from Wayfair, but it did turn out to be the kind of thin rug that needs a rug pad to anchor it. I'm really glad I chose this rug pad, it's exactly the right size, the rubber side grips securely on the hardwood floor, and the felt side doesn't let the wool rug budge. The ripples are taken care of, and it feels much cozier underfoot. No odor. Doesn't look or feel cheap. Nice product. I feel like I chose well.
