Rothschild Abstract Area Rug

I didn’t know I would love this rug so much. The color differences and texture are great, and hide any dirt or spills, for the most part. It’s really soft, and a fairly short pile.

I ordered this rug based upon its great price. I really like the look and feel of this rug, however— it will not lie flat!! The other reviews reported this, but I took a chance. The rug has been down for 10 days now- and will still not “relaxed”. It has remained curled up around the edges and rippled throughout. We have pulled and pulled it tight and have put heavier objects around the edges to hold them down. It still won’t lie flat. If it wasn’t already under a very heavy bed, I would roll it up and return it. Hoping it will eventually lie flat!

The rug came folded in a square for ease of transport. Instructions say to unfold and immediately roll the rug and leave it rolled for 24 - 48 hours. The color when I unfolded it was perfect! More variegated and the colored bits more prominent than shown in picture which is perfect for me. I wanted a light carpet but not "white". . . something that was forgiving of stain and wear. As well, the carpet is reminiscent of a shag rug that will be comfy for our bedroom. Looks great against dark LVP flooring. Pictures follow in a few weeks after we actually move into the house.
