Super contemporary, every time I have somebody at home they wonder about this. The material inside is like a rubbery compressed foam, so you slide in the key itself. It'll stay there and won't give up. Of course if you leave something too think for a long period of time, it'll create an indentation that won't come back to the original shape. I've had it for 10 years now and still shines.
