Like most of what others said, its darker than advertised but I was ok with that. It has a VERY strong chemical smell that subsides after sitting outside a day or two. I love the style and the vintage look!

This toy box is made with very rough wood and has sharp edges/corners. I scraped myself and a child would definitely get hurt opening/closing it
