Derryaghy Oak Solid Wood Floating Shelf

This is my second purchase of these shelves. The quality and craftmanship is outstanding, the 3" thickness of the shelves look more like "high furniture". I would highly recommend them Also, my handyman was thoroughly impressed.

Sure, it looks great but when you go to install it you realize that there are a couple major design flaws- the bracket is made out of a very soft wood so that it collapses as your screw it to the wall and doesn't allow for a secure hold. Secondly, the screws don't have a slot for a screwdriver of any kind and there's no way to tighten it to the wall. I tried using a socket wrench, but you still can't get it close to the wall. You have to put to huge holes in the wall to secure the molly bolts if you don't have a stud to secure it to and I ended up gluing to the wall and swearing a lot.
