This yarn holder would only hold two small skeins of yard. It has some nice features, but overall not practical for an experienced knitter.

The Big Sully is a terrific item for use in my yarn craft hobbies! Work great and the quality is wonderful.

This is the best tool I have ever purchased for my needlework. The large capacity leaves plenty of room for a skein of yarn to tumble and unwind freely. The yarn is fed through holes in the front that open completely when the lid is raised so that you can remove the yarn ball without cutting your yarn. There is a tray to hold multiple skeins as well as a spindle for cotton spools. The top features holes to measure your needles or hooks along with a larger hole to store your implements. A removable rubber handle makes it easy to tote this holder around and if you want to stay put, a suction device on the bottom keeps it from slipping. It also comes with a small ruler to measure gauge. I wish that I had had this fantastic tool all the years that I have been doing crochet.

Bought as a Christmas gift for my daughter. She is doing a double knitting project. At least one ball is rolling across the floor several times per day. Hopefully the Big Sully will keep her yarn under control on her desk where it belongs. I will add more after Christmas when I have more info and pictures to share. Update…Big Sully has been used everyday since Christmas. It’s been a life saver. Balls of yarn stay in the holder and off the floor. Very sturdy, appears to be well made. Wonderful product! Highly recommend.

This is a huge yarn keeper and it is so nice to have my yarn in a safe container. The yarn flows through the little holes smoothly and without getting caught. Makes crochet much more relaxing knowing my yarn isn't getting messed up. Love it and might get another one.
