I needed a nice flat surface for my outdoor bar set up that was long enough to cover the area I wanted but sturdy enough to withstand a bit of rain. I cant say much about the rain yet, but I will update when I can.
Shipping the product came as expected but the box was in shambles, held closed by those plastic strips. Inside, ALL of the shelves were bent on the sides and corners and one of the shelves looked like someone tried to hammer a nail through it several times before giving up. Luckily I only really needed 4 out of the 5, but with all the others bent in some way, I had to pick the best two for the top and make sure the dents were mostly hidden. If I was using it for its intended purpose, I would worry about the strength of the shelves if they are so easily dented in transit.
Assembly the coating on the metal makes it difficult to slide into place--I had to take a mallet to get pieces *into* place, not just secure them. Hopefully this means that it will be quite sturdy. I was able to lift each one and move it a short distance without the pieces coming up and out.
Final thoughts I think it will work for what I need it for. The top shelf does sit below the tops of the legrails, which tend to be a bit scratchy if you arent careful. As far as shelving for storage, I would be a little more concerned given the malleability of the shelves, the structural system needing each piece to be completely hammered in (if one or two are a little off or not completely in, the whole structure can go askew), and the sharpness of some of the edges.
