This fits perfectly in my pantry and the width is enough to fit cereal boxes and let me see everything. There is a lip on the edge of the shelf though things are not going to roll off. I was concerned that things would not sit flat on the shelf but they do. I am not concerned about anything rolling over or falling off. It is very sturdy and good quality. I actually want to get another one for the other side of the pantry.
