Great about this slender storage bookcase! 6-Tier narrow bookcase, super steady with the anti-falling device; looks tiny but has large storage.

Easy to build. Light weight. Made fairly cheaply but it’s for a 9 year old girl. She’ll be moving on to something else before it wears out. Unless someone stands on it. Or bangs it hard. They’re more awesome in person and make for a great focal point for the room. If you assemble these yourself (the 5 module version) build one first, and then you can assembly line the other 4. This is a fantastic book shelf. Solid, heavy wood construction and a beautiful finish. A few spots have mars in the finish, but they disappear when looking at the shelf from across the room. There were a few scratches that a furniture stick needed to be applied to, but I’m not sure if they happened during manufacture or our construction. The assembly was simple with the instructions provided. The only error in the instructions was regarding the type of screw driver to use. The wall anchor that came with the shelf was very flimsy, so we installed a sturdier more trusting anchor. The shelving unit did have a odor for a week after assembly. I didn’t like the color of the screw caps that were supplied so I have not used them; additionally they didn’t fit firmly in place. The bottom drawers slide in and out smoothly. The ClosetMaid 13” storage bins I bought to use with the shelf were too wide for each opening. When I trimmed a quarter inch of the insert in the bottom of the bin, I could get the bin to snugly fit in the shelf openings. I won’t be accessing what I stored in the bins often, so I’m happy with the ClosetMaid storage bins. I am well pleased with the storage capacity and look of this shelving unit. It looks modern, is designed well, and most important is made from real wood. I do not expect the finish to last unscathed for too long, since the lower shelf is storing my toddler grandson’s toys, we’ll see!. Christinemh. Huntsville, AL. Fri Feb 08 2019
