Best decision! I have limited space in my kitchen and this is the perfect size. Tall enough for my cat to eat her food underneath. No batteries, you open by pushing down slightly on the lid and it pops open. Very easy to open and close and can act as an extra surface when I am unpacking shopping bags. Have to take the whole lid off to pull out the cans or liners, not a big deal. Absolutely worth the price (to me).
