Black 55" Tall Bookshelf Storage Cabinet Kitchen Pantry Cabinet with Arched Glass Door Display, 2 Drawers & Adjustable Shelves for Living Room, Dining Room
The cabinet I received is different from what is pictured. There is a chrome lock on the outside of the right door that I don't like. I wouldn't have bought it if the lock had been shown in the photos. Also, the photos show 4 shelves, but the one I received only has 3. Most importantly, the dimensions listed are incorrect. It is much taller and wider. I thought so from looking at the photos, but after chatting with a customer service agent, I was assured that the listed dimensions were correct. They are not. The cabinet is 73" tall, 30.75" wide, and 15 & 3/8" deep.
The overall appearance is okay, not great. The finish shows fingerprints extremely easily. In the photos, the brass handles appeared to have a really nice color to them, but in reality they are a cheap-looking orange-y color. The stickers that label each piece are visible after assembly and a pain to remove. They leave the dreaded sticky residue behind.
Assembly was tedious at times, calling for bending and sliding metal pieces together. I am a careful and experienced furniture assembler, and I still damaged the finish on a part of the top because sliding that thin metal piece into a curved bar isn't easy. During assembly, I noticed several places where the finish was scratched or broken off just from normal assembly steps - it's pretty fragile. There are holes in the back of the cabinet interior where the anti-tip screws are supposed to go. I don't use those in my house, so the holes are easily noticeable against the black finish of the cabinet.
I do prefer the matte finish of the metal to the cabinets I've seen with faux wood grain finish. If the quality was better, this would be a nice piece. However, receiving something so different from what is pictured is just not acceptable. If you care a lot less about all of this stuff than I do, then you'll probably think it's a nice cabinet..
