I was looking for a light weight down and this fit the bill. It was for a guest bedroom. Everyone sleep’s different, some cold and some hot. Now that it is summer I’ve folded and placed at the base of the bed to be pulled up if the air conditioning gets too cold. This last winter it was reversed, main coverage and the lighter weight bedspread for extra warmth. I have never owned a duvet, always just comforters. This is wonderfully soft and pretty light weight but kept me comfortable all night. I wasn’t too hot or too cold…just right. The duvet cover I bought had ties for the top bottom and sides, but the insert only has loops on the corners. Being a king size I wish it had more loops but as of right now it has worked nicely.. Really, really nice. Quite enjoying! I don't have this one in a duvet cover at the moment. And not using solely - but only for an extra over other duvets. So not certain of the warmth on its own. (I'll try that out, at some point, this summer.) But... it's 'fluffy', with a decent amount of light fill. And the cover is 100% cotton - which to me is important for breathability. Definitely highly recommended. Would certainly purchase another. (Perhaps a little more pricey than some, but it IS goose down-filled & seems to be of a really good quality.
