My son is a firefighter/paramedic in a major US city. His station house is close to 100 years old. The ceilings are very high. The windows in the sleeping quarters had an old tarp as covering. UGH! These curtains (52"x108") allow daytime sleeping when on a 24 hour shift. They are not too heavy to be held up by a tension rod since no one is allowed to drill into the old plaster. Beautiful curtains. Wanted blackout but didn’t want them to look masculine. Can’t exactly say they are blackout though as you can see by the picture. The blinds are closed behind the curtain and they still let in quite a bit of light. It wasn’t enough for me to return them though.
