It’s a nice 1 inch heavy metal rod, which would’ve been a five star except for what you see in the 2nd picture. Plastic mounts, just the thing I was trying to avoid. We all know what happens to plastic through time. I was going to give a four here, but I’m lowering it to a three because of the fact that they did not disclose this information so now I’m going to lose five dollars returning other unused box. Product is described as a metal rod. Nowhere in the product details did it say or even hint that the mounts are plastic.

Somewhat easy assembly. Best to have someone to assist you. Im having an issue with the central bracket and securing it with the one screw, it does not hold, I might need to find a bolt to help hold it better, otherwise any movement at all knocks loose the bracket. I do love it though.

They are very sturdy and a nice modern update that is also timeless. I like these because they are real metal and durable for long term use. I don’t plan to change these out ever.
