Furi knives are made stronger with a thicker blade and blade-handle joins than their competitors. The high grade Japanese high carbon stainless steel blade and two handle halves are pressed from a sheet, then welded all around with the same material, then heat treated. The knife then becomes truly one piece (no welds remain after heat treatment and polishing: that's why they can't be seen), but with a hollow handle for balance. The blade of each Furi knife is constructed from hardened high specification Japanese Steel for superior durability, stain and corrosion resistance, and ease of sharpening.
