Don't use it very often, but it's not going to break anytime soon. easy to clean

Trying to stop the steam kettle making rusty marks on the wood stove. A bit smaller than I visualized, but does the trick so far at keeping any moisture on the bottom of the kettle from reaching the stove. Won't help any if it boils over the spout, but just stop overfilling it. ** Be sure to remove the rubber caps on the feet before putting this on top of a hot woodburner. That will really mess up your finish.

Needed cast iron cooking top surface for use in a counter top size convection oven. I had two six 6 diameter ceramic bowls to collect drippings but needed a top capable of handling the heat and that would allow fat to drip from the food being cooked. These fit the ceramic bowls perfectly and make the perfect, indestructable cooking surface. They also are practically non-stick after properly "seasoning" the cast iron.
