I really like this spoon rest. My weakness is anything marble. I imagine that it is prone to staining with acidic foods and tomato sauce but so far I have been using it for two months and no discoloration noted. There are darker spots as expected as part of the natural marks of the stone. While this might annoy some I do not mind them. I am undecided whether I want to return these are not. I bought 2. PROS: They are nice and sturdy. Great quality. I wasn't a fan of the actual coloring. The website makes them seem a bit lighter (creamier) with some detailing. The ones I received looked more beige with a lot of detailing. The detail is busier than they appeared to be on the website.
