This is great. Seems structurally stable. Easy to put together. Two complaints. The silver metal bolts are visible on the outside of the posts, so I’m spray painting those to match the frame. The bigger complaint is that the mattress slides. The bottom rails are smooth and flush. there’s no recessed area for the mattress to sit in to keep it in place. This frame requires the use of a foundation or box spring. This heavy-duty frame has six (6) legs that utilize our uniquely designed glides. The frame using these glides has been tested with a 2000-pound load. Guaranteeing the structural integrity of the part is perfectly consistent from one part to the next. The glides are stronger than a wheel while maintaining the same or better mobility. These glides are safe on all flooring surfaces. They will not mark or scuff a wood floor like wheels. The 2-inch wide centre support on this frame is used head-to-toe on the king and full sizes. It can be used either head-to-toe or side-to-side on a queen size. This makes it perfect for split queen foundations. This frame sits approximately 7 1/2" off the floor. If no headboard is used, the headboard brackets can be left off and the bed centred on the frame, assuring that the frame cannot bump and damage the wall. Synopsis - Awesome king size platform bed. We were in the market for a frame to hold our new king size mattress we were upgrading to and ended up with this Messancy 14" steel platform. Since purchasing it in November of 2025, we've had no issues with it at all and it has held our bed well since then. The only small thing I've noticed is that some of the screws come loose every now and then. I simply went in and tightened it up and we were perfectly fine.
