Daphine Upholstered Headboard

This headboard is just what I was looking for, so we are very pleased. The fact that it's made in Canada is a bonus! A couple of things that might be useful to future purchasers. I hit 'buy' without double checking the lowest height of the legs -- so at its lowest setting, the headboard sat about two inches above the mattress . The was easily fixed by cutting three inches off the legs -- although they are metal, a hacksaw did the job quickly and easily. Also -- and this is the reason for four stars not five -- the headboard is better designed for a metal bedframe than for the newer, upholstered ones. So we did have to buy longer bolts than the ones supplied with the headboard. And we will cut off the bottom of the bedframe legs because you can see them against the wall below the bed, and behind the bed's actual legs (see second photo.) But that's not a deal breaker for us as it's a pretty simple fix. Of course this wouldn't be an issue if you have a bed skirt... Wayfair customer service was super helpful when I asked for a picture of the blue fabric, which was not available on the website. The colour is a really nice, dark navy with a slightly grey undertone and I love the linen.

The headboard isn’t fully adjustable. The lowest it can be set leaves an over 26 inch gap from the bottom of the headboard to the floor. It can only be adjusted higher than 26” so if your bed reaches much lower than 26”, you’ll have a large gap between the top of the mattress and the bottom of the headboard. The headboard itself is very nice in the off-white colour though. Lucky for me, Wayfair and the headboard manufacturer are helping me to keep the headboard with a shorter set of legs! Also, the legs are metal so we couldn’t just cut them down.

We love this headboard! It is just the right size and scale for our bedroom, and is comfy to lean up against when watching TV or reading.
