The pedestal for the table to sit on is attractive and easy enough to put together if you turn it sideways and not straight up and down, the top was easy to assemble, but there seems to be less than perfection in the adjoining pieces of the two table tops and whatever I tried, I could not get the entire length to close completely however, it’s still beautiful. We put a runner down the length of the seam in the two tops and you can’t see it and it feels really strong and sturdy and as attractive and easy enough to assemble if you have some Mechanical ability that’s all.. loved the table. but took all metal off (extension suports and extra metal feet part) - much better crude, only wood. when we need extensions, will pickup in the garage. after some months have passed....... the wood covering is just a cover, it chips and cracks - very sad, because the table is beautiful - but it won't last long years.. It is MDF..A step above cardboard. There are gaps in the pieces of the table where its joined together. Like when you see a leaf in the middle. And the base of the table keeps you from your legs going anywhere as they will be hitting the base. It looks good. But you can tell its MDF and not wood.. But I used high end chairs and it looks amazing but I know this table, won't last long. It was easy to put together. And if you want a nice looking table for a good price just get it.
