After an exhaustive search we found this perfect ZLINE microwave to put in the corner of our new kitchen next to the pantry. This is an OTR model but it can be mounted as we did. It convenient yet out of the way, not taking up counters pace. We didn't care for the microwave in a drawer, so this was the fix. The tubular handle matched other appliances. My only thought was I wished the handle matched. For some reason it's shiny chrome on a stainless trimmed front? You don't notice as it's in the corner, but we did wonder. From time to time we get distracted and forget the food in the oven, this unit will automatically begin to vent any smoke it detects, should you forget to turn the fan on. It’s not just a fantastic venting system, this Microwave comes loaded with features. With five built-in cooking settings, Potato, Pizza, Meat, Vegetables, and the classic Popcorn, you’re guaranteed to get perfectly cooked food with Danby’s Sensor cooking. The sensor detects humidity and turns off at the exact point when cooking is done. The sensor will also work for reheating food and beverages. With a soften/melt option you can get your butter just right for baking, or your ice cream for eating. If you’re in a rush you can defrost your food based on weight or time. For some added safety this unit comes with a child lock to prevent little fingers from playing with the buttons.

Product is what we needed as the kitchenette required a smaller microwave. Product arrived damaged but nothing would have indicated damage looking at packaging. The damaged parts (dents on both sides) were easily concealed when installed but that was also a bit of a hassle. My husband is an electrician & has hung quite a few microwaves, yet he wasn't a fan of the install. We tested after install, it works & no issues with the unit at the moment (not being used as we aren't moved in at the moment). We did contact Wayfair about issues, they contacted Danby on my behalf & Danby contacted me the next day. Just got the microwave set up and working, so time will tell. The MCM1611ST is very similar to a Magic Chef I bought in 2004. The old machine needed some parts, which impressively Magic Chef still sold, but the cost could have approached this new machine. The old machine had an all stainless case and cavity, which these new machines lack. It was also made in Korea, while all the new machines are made in China. I always see these type of microwaves when I visit my relatives and ever since then I have wanted to get one myself. However there was no reason to replace my microwave when it was working fine before but it has recently broken down. I saw this as a chance to buy this as a replacement. I love the drawer style design that opens with a button and the stainless steel build. It feels very sturdy and tucks in next to my cabinets perfectly. The microwave is very adjustable and has many different settings which I love to spend time experimenting with. Installation was extremely quick and easy with minimal work.
