The Murphy bed came out beautifully! The materials are high quality, heavy and sturdy. The hydraulic lift mechanism was a great touch to deal with the load so it’s very smooth and easy to take out and put away. Securing to the wall is a MUST as well to avoid accidental injury. It does take a long time to build, but can be done 80 or so with 1 person over 5-6 hours. Certain steps need at least 2 people. We’re very excited about the space this saves in our guest room!. Perfect size, shape, color. Took 8 hours to assemble. Delivery was fast, but the delivery guy did NOT place the packages by front door, instead place the packages on the gravel infront of the ramp. Thats why there's a ramp to place packages by front door. The boxes were too heavy for me to lift so had to get help moving boxes under the patio before rain the next day. Over all, Im satisfied in finding the right credenza bed cabinet that met my needs.. Rachel. Somerset, CA. Fri Oct 23 2026

I bought this Murphy bed for my guest bedroom and its exactly what I was looking for. Assembly was definitely a challenge (instructions were good, but lots of heavymoving pieces), but for the price it was worth it. There are no shelves inside the cabinets, but that was perfect so I can easily store the pillows and comforter while the bed is up. I also purchased a wardrobe from the same line to create a closet area for guests. All the pieces are sturdy and the quality seems great.. Alexandra. GA. Sat Sep 12 2026

NEVER BUY THIS!!!! Not unless you are a carpenter and can fix the errors in what is sent. The directions have no words so you need to figure everything out. Parts were missing. Predrilled holes were not aligned so I had to redrill holes. Corners were chipped (this is particle board). Hardware for doors needed to be muscled in place. I can go on and on. 4 of us were looking at directions and we needed to "use common sense" to figure it out. Wayfair does not offer professional install. If it did that would make a bit of a difference. Nor does the manufacturer. Also, the manufacturer, when called, does not have all knowledgeable people. Some were and some gave different answers. Spend a little more and get a better product.. Denise. Mon Dec 02 2024

Very lengthy process to put together. It’s fine. Looks better in pics. You can really see the screws and hinges. It definitely needs to be anchored to the wall. Super dangerous otherwise.. Andy. Kennebunk, ME. Thu Dec 11 2025

This Murphy bed was stylish and perfect for our space! Took a bit to put together but directions were easy to follow. The lights didn’t stay sticking to the frame well but we didn’t need them.. Anonymous. Ambler, PA. Mon Jun 08 2026

Transform your living space with the Murphy Cabinet Bed, a smart furniture solution designed for modern homes. This multifunctional piece looks like a stylish cabinet during the day and quickly converts into a comfortable Full-size guest bed whenever needed. Designed for small apartments, home offices, and guest rooms, this space-saving bed helps maximize your available space without sacrificing comfort or style.

Did take a while to put together, but was able to do it by myself. Got this for a guest bed in the office that only gets used sporadically. For a mattress we are using a Sleep Number C4 bed we just upgraded from in the bedroom. This cabinet was perfect as it had the solid base a Sleep Number requires and the entire bed, mattress pad, pillows, and comforter ALL fit inside the cabinet and drawer. I did have to drill a small hole in the bed base near the head off the bed for the air tube and another in the back board to plug in the air pump, but both are in places not visible with the bed open or closed. We contemplated a traditional Murphy bed, but they seem to need the weight of a mattress to help hold them open? And they lacked storage space for all the other bedding to make up the bed. Since storage space is always in short supply, this bed seemed a better fit for our needs. I only gave 4 stars for some minor gripes. First are the stickers used to cover the cam locks. Wow is that cheesy. Most furniture I have put together using cam locks have a plastic disc that goes into the cam lock hole. However, the only place these are visible are the inside of the headboard when the bed is open. I would have appreciated plastic caps for this area vs the stickers. My only other complaint is about the cam locks themselves. Other furniture I have put together (including the glass door cabinet next to the bed chest in the photo) had a stop so you can't insert the screwdriver too far and potentially run into the cam lock pin when turning the cam lock. I am not sure if this is what kept happening, but I did have a few cam locks where I just could not get them to turn as far as they should have. Will call this one user error, but with a properly designed cam lock this isn't an issue. Like I said, pretty minor, and overall very pleased with the bed for what we needed. It is also really easy to open and set up as I had to do that half a dozen times or so figuring out how to get the Sleep Number air pump connected and the holes drilled.. Cheran. Lakeview, OR. Full Size Murphy Bed with Foldable Desk – Space Saving Wall Bed - Walnut & Grey

While the design is good. The quality of the produce is lacking. It was delivered in very good condition based on the size and weight of the package. I recommend assisting the delivery person in unloading the 3 boxes as they average about 90 pounds a peice. The installation instructions are lacking little details and the pictures in the instructions are not clear enough to provide you with the detail to put the boards in the correct order the first time. The instruction for every step is follow the illustration. I have attached step 6.1 and board 16 has holes on the edge in the middle of the board. Based on the picture included you need to figure out if they go toward the bottom or toward the top. The installation videos are not useful as they quickly zoom to the corner where annimation shows a screw and anchor being put into place and not the orientation of the board that would be helpful. Specific issues with our unit started with step 3 of the install process where the holes that were drilled into boards 7 and 8 were not deep enough so the bolt hit the wood and would not allow the boards to be joined snuggly together. After looking to see if another bolt included was a better fit, I drilled out the holes an 1/8th of an inch deeper which fixed the problem. Moving slowly through the steps I encountered a bigger issue at step 9 and 10. I had put together the bottom of the bed and was trying to mount the bed frame too it. The bolt holes in the bottom do not line up with the nut holes in the frame. I tried to reverse the boards as well as mount the boards individually to the bottom. They are misalligned by about 2 inches and there is no solution. At this point I have contacted Wayfair and they might send new boards that hopefully have holes that are alligned. If I get them and am able to move forward I will update my review. At this point it is a pile of boards and a half put together frame that is useless. Last notes, the directions have you build the wall mount with the lower part of the desk first. This takes up a lot of room and we had to work on the rest of the bed in another area and carry it in. If you have a small place I would start at step 8 then go back to step one when you hit step 11. They also didn't list the weight limit or heigth limit of the matress in the manual. We got a 9 inch mattress but can't tell you if it works yet.. Andrew. Snohomish, WA. Tue Dec 09 2025

The only problem is lifting pistons or springs are too strong for the weight of the foam mattress we bought, causing the system to act like a giant spring that pulls the frame back up into the cabinet.. Carissa. Chino Hills, CA. Thu Aug 13 2026

works perfectly for my space, was a bear to put together. lots of cabinet space and storage, the build is pretty sturdy. Definitely have 2-3 people working on this, I almost gave myself a concussion trying to put in the folding arm of the desk. I've had it for about a month now. I have it sitting on carpet, so the bed scrapes the bottom rail every time I open it which may present an issue as time goes on. Note that the hanging section does not fit full size hangers unless you angle them diagonally to fit. I ended up using kid size hangers. Don't ever expect to fold up the desk, I don't know that it's particularly useful. I imagine most people use desks all the time so removing everything to fold it up seems unlikely.. Teresa. CA.
